Background:
Madrun was born at the Royal Castle in Aberystwyth as the oldest daughter to the King Penbras. She was always well doted upon by a loving father and mother Elise. The Queen gave birth to another loved daughter, named Gweryth. Madrun loved her little sister, and could not be separated from her for long. Eight years later, her mother died in childbirth, bearing a stillborn son. In his grief, Penbras isolated himself, letting his cousin Theodor council him.

It was not long after that the King Penbras found a woman in his bed, and after a while, Madrun stood there with a stepmother, Queen Rania, a woman that despised her, and tried to have the king push her away. Years later, it become evident that the woman was the sister of Theodor, but then it was too late.

Madrun grew up with intrigue and danger, love and hate and that made her grow up quickly. She learned to keep her father to love him, or else her life would turn ugly. The Queen hated her step daughter, but to her frustration, she could not get pregnant herself. In her anguish, she persuaded her husband to allow the foreign knight Sir Cadwgan to wed Princess Gweryth, and take her out of the game of the throne.

She became so desperate, that she went to her own brother, and together they managed to produce a son. And the wily woman managed to persuade the King to acknowledge him as his own. Madrun felt left out, and only increased her tactics to stay in the favour of her father.

She had a hard life, a struggle that left her a spinster, as she spurned all suitors for the favour of being at her father's side. The Queen turned even more hateful, as she wanted to get rid of her only competitor.

As her half brother Tyrone grew up, Madrun only had love for him, and they became good friends. That love made the Queen hate her even more, and in her anger, persuaded her husband to join up with the adventure that the war with Abertawe looked to be. She intended to turn the new acquisition for her son, to make his bid for the throne that much safer.

When the war ended in disaster, she instead persuaded her husband to send Madrun as an ambassador to Abertawe, hoping that the angered Abertawians would throw her into the dungeon, or kill her outright.

Madrun got a household of four Ladies-in-waiting, six servants and two guards. A house in Alban City was bought, and the embassy was ready to open, as soon as she could travel there. Now the Queen persuaded the King that the ambassador could not travel un noticed, so she had to keep the banner of Aberystwyth and the colours of a Princess of the Realm flying proudly as she crossed the border. Needless to say, the evil Queen counted on the angered citizens to lynch the Princess before they reached the Embassy.

Personality Profile:
Quick-witted, intelligent and sharp-tongued, she is very social, but also feared because of her ability to see through flattery and deliver a sarcastic comeback. This also left her alone, as no man ever dared to woe her, despite her wealth and position. She never forgets a friend, and never forgets an enemy.

Physical Profile: No longer a lean young girl, she nevertheless keeps herself as fit as she can, and whatever beauty she holds, is lasting, and not cosmetic. At home she was often found riding, or walking in parks, and that made her love the outdoors.

Skills and Abilities:
Diplomacy and negotiations were things she learned at an early age. She has also learned that bloodlines are important, and considers herself of superior birth, but also that such elevation brings responsibility.

Special Notes:
She has relatives in Abertawe, the husband of her dear dead sister Gweryth, a knight by the name of Sir Cadwgan, and his only daughter, Milisandia. She is determined to make her a princess, and have plans that only need to mature.
