Played by: Rob
Name: Llywen Carrick of Waterford
Age:13
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 124
Background:
Llywen was born to Llywen and Gwenwyfar Carrick of Waterford, at their baronial estates. He was the young couple's firstborn and loved dearly by them. Llywen had been raised well and enjoyed his early days as a child. Llywen had spent his days playing knights with the peasant boys whom he would someday rule over, and he would ride around on a long stick and pretend he was bringing freedom, justice and coin to all of his people.

Llywen had a very active imagination and he used it well as a young child and still does as a young teenager.

Llywen had always treated his little sisters with affection, Gwendolen was born when Llywen was two, and Catrin followed a few years later when Llywen was four. Llywen played with his little sisters for most of his childhood and is still very protective of them. They had many adventures in Waterford Caer and were known throughout the estate as little pranksters.

When Llywen was eight, he lost his beloved father in battle. Llywen was devastated and has put upon his shoulders the heavy burden of the family, the title and the power and responsibility of being the young Baron of Waterford. From the moment his father died everyone treated him differently, the soldiers, the servants of his Caer, and even the fiefs who now served him. Llywen was always the type of boy who would sit and eat with a peasant just as quickly as he would with a noble, he knew his place and title, but cared for his people.

Llywen then and now believes that he should take on the title of Baron, with all rights, responsibilities and privileges that coincide with it, but his mother will not let him do so until he is eighteen.

King Hawk was giving a ball to all the nobles of Abertawe and the Carrick's had been invited. From the moment that Llywen saw the young Princess Rowena he fell in love with her and told her right then and there that he would someday marry her, and of course Rowena had other ideas.

The Princess Rowena has since become the all consuming force of his life, his dreams and goals not only center around her but are pinned on his marriage to her. Since Rowena has been sent to train with the Druids he believes that Rowena has deserted him and has been looking for love in the arms of a young former priestess named Irena, who showed him what intimacy was and it was to this girl, Llywen gave his virginity.

Even though turmoil and trouble surrounds young Llywen on a daily basis, and despite his affections for Irena, Diora and most all the young women he knows-he still worships Rowena and desperately wants to be married to the little princess.

He is the Paige to his liegelord, Duke Lleu, whom he serves. His mother has fostered him to the Duke to train the lad to become a true Baron.
