Background:
Gretta was born the illegitimate daughter of a Saxon noblewoman and an Abertawian knight. As he did not recognise her as his daughter, and the noblewoman was war booty, Gretta grew up to be a servant girl in the Caer of Alban.
She was just seven years old when her mother died, and with no one to support her, she ended up on the streets of Alban, exposed to all and anyone that would want to hurt a young girl. She might have ended up as one of the uncountable victims that were never heard of again. But a young boy, named Yoric, took her in, and showed her a place to stay, where other street urchins gathered for safety.
Together with the others, she grew up on the streets, doing menial work when she could find it and making a future appear, a small but safe one. They built and played in a street theatre, and their lives turned better with a slow but steady income. Some of the girls got jobs as chamber maids and kitchen maids in the Caer, and they started to hear rumours, and see how the nobles acted, and soon the theatre played the stories they heard.
But life had another twist ahead of Gretta. She befriended both Lady Isa, the mother of the King, and Princess Rowena. And it was Lady Isa that took her under her wings, and cared for the children on the street. It was at one of the visits where Lady Isa opened up her house for the homeless children that the Siege of Alban broke out and invading troops swarmed over the wall and into the city.
Together with Lady Isa and the rest of the children, they fled, and managed after some adventure to get back to the castle. She also met Lady Milisandia, who had decided to keep her at home and take care of her which is how Isa started to suspect Cadwgan might be the Father and then Isa began to look into the past of the child. And her investigations found the father of Gretta, one of the Royal Knights.
Sir Cadwgan met with Isa and Gretta, and did the right thing, and acknowledged Gretta as his daughter. Now as a Lady, she moved off the orphanage, and into a good house, with a father that loved her. Things could not get much better.
But then, fate had another thing ahead for her. She got an offer to become the Lady-in-waiting to the Crown Princess Talia ui Jolnar of Llandaf. It was a fairy tale come through for her. For once in her life, she could wear pretty dresses she only seen from afar. And Talia was a wonderful and warm mistress.
After they had sneaked out into the city disguised as servants, Talia had a surprise for her. She wanted to adopt Gretta. And they walked over to Sir Cadwgan, and after some discussions, he let Gretta decide. Gretta did not want to lose either of them, but she missed her mother so much, so she wanted one in her life again. So they agreed upon the adoption.
Personality Profile:
She is kind and good hearted, and always willing to help a friend. She has a mischievous streak in her, and her excellent acting skills make it possible for her to get into trouble and just as easily get out of the same.
Physical Profile: Small and lean, but with a brilliant hair, and a wonderful smile, she can be a street urchin as well as a Princess, and always see friendly faces. The years on the street made her strong, and she can match many boys her age.
Skills and Abilities:
She has a dagger, and knows how to handle it. She can cook, clean, carry heavy burdens, sew, read and write. She is a good actress, and knows the basics in disguise. And she is a good observer, and learns new things easier than the norm.

She is a little enamoured with a boy named Yoric, a boy that saved her life many times, and who is cute.
