Background: Born as the youngest son of a poor hedge knight in a border keep in the north of Abertawe, he knew he would never rise to any significant position in society. As soon as he was old enough to work, he was sent to the army to learn a profession. Having grown up in the field, on battlefields and in barracks, he may be a bit rough, but has never forgot the lessons learned about obligation, honour and courtesy learned at home.

His childhood was bright, despite the poverty, because his parents loved him. Even his older brothers took pity on him, and got him to join them in their war games. He got friendly with girls as well, especially one girl, the youngest daughter of the local baron, her name was Merina ui Thurston.

He grew to be a man, capable of swinging a sword, and eventually to lead men in combat. When the fifth infantry regiment were put together, he volunteered to become a platoon leader. When he learned of the orders to garrison the capital during the war, he was dismayed at first, believing he would miss out the fighting. But when the enemy put Alban under siege, he found that the war was very close indeed.

During the siege, Godric was appalled by the ravages of the enemy soldiers, and he often volunteered to lead patrols hunting down the worst criminals. He thought it the most rewarding duty to save a child or a woman from their clutches, and did bring many to safety and punished those responsible.

Personality Profile: He knows his place in the ranks of society, and is content with it, if not totally pleased. He is courteous to those above him in station, and friendly to those closer to his own. Kind-hearted inside, he keeps a rough outer appearance not easily pierced by foreigners. When he was laughed at by a girl his age before he went to the army, because he thought he could woe her despite the difference in status (She was the daughter of the local Baron), he learned a lesson to keep women at an arm's reach. He is just and noble, exactly like a knight, but since he is just a lowly soldier, no one sees those abilities within him.

Physical Profile: Godric is a strong and fit soldier. The horrors on the battlefield, and the hardship of being a soldier has aged his face beyond that of his real age. A scar he received in battle goes from below his right eye down his chin. The muscles are kept toned by constant training. But beyond the scar on his face, he has been spared from any lasting injuries. There are scars on his chest and legs, but the wounds healed over time. He likes to drink, and can put away quite a lot before he gets drunk. He does not get wild under influence, and can keep out of trouble, if the trouble stays away from him. He has a strong sense of respect for women, and has never taken any woman against her wishes.

Skills and Abilities: Skillfull with sword and shield, quite experienced with mace and spear, and even rides a horse quite well. Being a sergeant, he has not trained in mounted combat like a knight would, but a lighter, more mobile style, that even include mounted archery.

Special Notes: Godric is the son of a knight, a poor but righteous knight. Even though he is the youngest of his siblings, he got the training of a knight, before he joined the army. He left home after being humiliated by his childhood girlfriend when he asked her to marry. He joined the army, and have been there since, never even hoping for a family of his own.
