Background:
Gawain is the spare, that is the second son. His father is now dead, but his very protective mother want him to get married, as his big brother Bedivere. Being the spare, his life meant more freedom than his older brother, but he was still styled out in a warrior's role. Being an officer in the Royal Army and a knight, his future was that of a warrior.

When his big brother got home from the war with Aberystwyth with severe damages, his doting mother Clarissa ui Manther saw the possibility of the clan without an heir, and was worried for the future. Therefore, she goaded her second son to go to Alban to find and bring home a woman that would bring him prestige and heirs.

Gawain had just returned from chasing deserters in the north, when Clarissa cornered him, and demanded that he would take his responsibilities to the family, and go and conquer some woman's heart. Since the family have a small fleet of ships and a trading tradition, Gawain did not have to marry for a big dowry, only that she was of good breeding, and healthy enough for several children.

It was with a heavy sigh and a mood of a man going to his doom that he rode off for Alban, and his meeting with destiny. Only his squire Iohan followed him into the mission that would change his carefree life forever.

Personality Profile:
Carefree and direct, he is a military man to the point. Not known for his courtly manners, but his strong and trusted arm. He is honourable and just, but lacks a bit of diplomacy. His only weakness is the inability to disobey from the powerful, beautiful but demanding mother.

Physical Profile: Fit and strong, the life of a soldier makes you able to stand up and defend the less fortunate. Long dark hair, a goatee and a handsome face. Scars on his chest and his left arm shows the rigors of a warrior.

Skills and Abilities:
A good horseman, and can handle himself well with a sword and a lance. He is a good hunter, and quite accomplished with a falcon and with Longbow.

Special Notes:
Always dressed in the best of clothes, as become a wealthy baron. He does not know how to court a Lady, the only women he had been with had been spoils of war. Travels with his squire Iohan, and the Gray Charger Casper and the falcon Kaidir.
