Background:
Born in Gwelfyar, a shire of five towns in southern Abertawe. Arthur was the son of Lord Pembroke. Though he was of noble birth Arthur received no benefits. As soon as he was able his father sent him out to learn a trade and earn his keep. Arthur first tried his hand as a blacksmith and became skilled at it but his heart sought glory and adventure. He wanted to be a warrior. His chance to be a soldier finally came when Pembroke gathered two hundred mercenaries he paid to go across the ocean and aid the king of a foreign land. Though his father forbids him to join the common rabble, Arthur snuck away in disguise thinking the force had been sent under orders from the king. He learned to fight as he made the journey to Torsula.

Arthur found the foreign kingdom to be a hot desert land but its people were as civilized and noble as those from Cei Newydd. King Ulbar, ruler of one of five kingdoms in Torsula had been fighting a war with the united kingdoms of Luxor for many years. At first Arthur was not noticed by anyone until the two hundred marched with Ulbar's army to face a large army from Luxor. Arthur was recognized for his bravery during the battle that resulted in both armies withdrawing. Throughout a year Arthur fought across the desert kingdom winning several key victories becoming a sergeant. Arthur first tasted defeat when the two hundred were ambushed and all but Arthur were killed, he was sent back to Ulbar with a message, "We are coming"

Arthur trained in the kings cavalry earning a spot as captain of fifty men. Gaining even more notice from the king and becoming a senior captain in his army Arthur joined Ulbar in the second last battle of the war. Two armies, one ten thousand strong and another three thousand strong were marching on the capital. Both Ulbar and Arthur agreed that they couldn't fight both at once and launched a strike on the smaller army. Arthur commanded the troops on the right flank and broke the enemy lines allowing a victory. Arthur was hailed a hero by the people and made commander of the Tharangian Guard, an elite unit in the army. Before the last battle of the war Arthur admitted he was in love with King Ulbar's daughter Rianna, the king gave his blessing and Arthur married Rianna only hours before the battle. Through the bravery of his men and the holding of the lines after the wall fell victory was declared the five year war was over. Arthur now a hero desired to return to Abertawe and show his father all he had done. With a fifty Tharangian guardsmen and his wife, Arthur made the journey home.

He returned only to be scalded by Pembroke for leaving in the first place. Arthur was not given the hero's return he hoped for. He had his glory in Torsula but in Abertawe he was nothing more than a man who was disowned by his father. Arthur was determined to not let his life go to waste and traveled to Alban, he was not after knighthood but his service to King Ulbar granted him the chance to be Captain General of the Kings Guard. A position he serves with pride. He has been back in Abertawe for a year.

Personality Profile:
Arthur though a career warrior is always a friendly and kind individual. A man who likes a challenge Arthur seeks three things, to serve his wife, to serve the king and to serve Abertawe. Despite a life consisting so far mostly of war Arthur enjoys every aspect of life, he is a generally happy individual. Arthur will put his 17 year old wife's safety and well being above everything even his own honor.

Physical Profile: A well toned soldier, Arthur has brown hair that he wears tied back in a pony tail if it gets too long and he is unable to cut it. His time in the desert has tanned his skin a little. Arthur has a short beard that is kept neat and tidy. He is a very fit person able to run for a while and fight continuously without rest for longer. Arthur unlike the royal guards, wears special armor designed to look artistic and offers good protection. He always dresses in a dark blue tunic and pants with a lighter blue cape of authority.

Skills and Abilities:
Arthur is a good swordsman having learned during his journey to Torsula. He is a good husband. Arthur is loyal to his wife even above his king and country, he would believe her word over anyone else's. A good horse rider, Arthur makes sure his horse is looked after very well, anyone who mistreats it will soon end up needing a healer.
