Background:
Born on the northern border of Kilkenny, Lendayne knew what it meant to fight for blood and that blood ties were stronger and carried a higher price than most political ties. She, at an early age was taught how to handle the political side of the clan meetings. Even though she was female, her father, Graeynor ap Kelthan taught her to be a diplomat.
It was on her 16 birthday, that she was betrothed to be married. It was a political arrangement gone wrong. Her father had arranged this union at her birth and he knew the turmoil surrounding the clan that fueled him to look elsewhere. Her betrothed, Kirthan ap Helthen, was kin to Gallain Hawley. Kirthan was a main instigator in the Northern raids into Alban. He was caught and murdered, leaving a blood feud and an open dowry to be paid. Gallain demanded from Graeynor another arrangement. Graeynor never was able to fulfill that arrangement for Gallain died a month later.
It was then he had heard of the banishment of the youngest son of Gallain and put everything into motion. Lendayne was already best friends with Esella, Gwynne’s sister and it was through her that everything happened. Ties were made and alliances were made anew, behind the back of Gwynne’s oldest brother. Graeynor bided his time.
His time came just after the war with Sanglet and that’s when he sealed his bargain with Esella and her family. The bond had been renewed, though none the wiser to his future son-in-law.
Personality Profile:
Lendayne is a strong willed woman. Long dark brown hair falls to her lower waist. Her Emerald green eyes shine whenever emotion is beset about her. She is far from lithe, and carries herself as a chieftain’s daughter should. She is not one who is afraid to speak her own mind. Her skin has braced the harsh cold winters of Kilkenny and further on. She is very learned in the ways of politics and her tongue could be has diplomatic and yet still she could cut knees out from under any villain with just her quick wit.
Physical Profile: Lendayne is a buxomed woman and not one who is frail. She has curves that she knows how to use. They have come to her advantage more than once. She is a beauty, that is for sure, and has no problems wearing finery of silks and jewels. She also is comfortable working with the maids and stable hands.
Skills and Abilities:
Growing up, Lendayne had a hand at breaking wild horses and training them to be sold. She is very gentle in handling them. She also can wield a bow with an agile grace. Her movement with a short sword also is quicker than most of the barbarians she’s ever trained with.
